Valhalla Tahoe Presents Steel Magnolias

Candidates Forum – South Lake Tahoe City Council

Lake Tahoe Community College5:30p-7:30pm, Attendees will also have the opportunity to present written questions during the forum. City of South Lake Tahoe residents are encouraged to attend this open event prior to the November election to best determine which three candidates will be their choice for City Council, but the forum is open to all interested persons. Bubbles & Bow Ties – Adult Prom

The Landing Resort & Spa6:00pm-10:00pm, $75. 100% of the proceeds go to send one child with diabetes to Camp Buck, the premier camp program of the Nevada Diabetes Association for children ages 8 to 13. Tahoe Arts Project Presents Dance of Hope

South Shore Room at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe7:30pm, $10 for adults, children free. DANCE OF HOPE brings Africa’s cultural experience to global audiences of all ages. Passionate rhythms, sensational sounds, exhilarating and colorful choreography, all swirled in gorgeous smiles of children, many of whom have come from the worst environments imaginable to turn negative stories into positive ones while they aim to inspire others to do the same. Fall Fish Fest (Kokanee Salmon Festival)

Taylor Creek Visitor Center10:00am-4:00pm. The Festival is a two-day event held each fall. The Festival celebrates the dramatic and colorful spawning behaviors of the Kokanee Salmon. Back this year will be the Salmon Feed, children’s activities, educational programs and booths, stream-side programs, a children’s run, 5k, 10k, and half-marathon trail runs. Oktoberfest

Cram-a-Cruiser Food Drive

South Lake Tahoe’s Grocery Outlet10:00am-3:00pm, free. The South Lake Tahoe Police Department will be dropping off one of their police cruisers in the parking lot of Grocery Outlet located at 2358 Lake Tahoe Blvd. During the day, community members will fill up the car with food items found on the Bread & Broth 4 Kids “Wish List.” For more info, click here.
